MANAROLA

Cinque Terre Apartments - Il Bordone: WHO WE ARE

I recently started my new landlord business called "Il Bordone", from the surname of my family, one of the oldest in Manarola, my town.

My goal is to welcome all people who want to visit the beautiful Cinque Terre, offering them the best and most comfortable space to spend the most pleasant of stays here, with all the help and information they may want or need.

Discover the Cinque Terre

In a small bay long hidden from the eyes of the world, there are five villages, so close to each other yet so far at the same time: Riomaggiore, Manarola, Corniglia, Vernazza and Monterosso al Mare (starting from the nearby city of La Spezia and towards the town of Levanto).

These five villages share a common culture of hard work and wine production but each of them maintains its own cultural specificity, its own local identity.

In an ancient cellar full of history, where oil and wine were once produced, I created these private rooms, in which tradition and modernity coexist.

Room 1 is the perfect accommodation for your stay in Manarola: the more spacious of the two rooms, it still has visible glimpses of the historic masonry of the structure and an ancient original tub that was used for filtering the oil.

Room 2 is the perfect place to stay in the Cinque Terre while still breathing history and tradition: original masonry elements and an ancient mill used in antiquity for the production of oil are combined with all the comforts you will need!

INFO

A TOUR IN THE SURROUNDINGS OF MANAROLA

If you are a walker, you should know that all trails start from this area.
In addition, each bus stops at the church square.

If trains are your preferred route to travel, you can easily get to the station in no more than 5 minutes - for sure.

And in the Cinque Terre the train is the best way to move from one village to another.
But 5 minutes is still what you will need if you want to go to the sea and possibly take one of the boats that connect the Cinque Terre - except for Corniglia, which does not have a small harbor large enough to accommodate large boats.
If you finally arrive or want to move by car, the parking is even closer, 2 minutes from here.

Cinque Terre wine

The first news of these communities are very ancient and date back to the times of the Roman Empire, when oil and, precisely, wine were traded in this area. Making wine, growing in the Cinque Terre has never been easy. The locals had to strive in the hard battle for survival and found a solution: to cultivate their own vineyards - and not only - directly on the hills, building a complex and infinite network of dry stone walls and terraces on which they could cultivate. Today, centuries later, the production of this wine continues, an integral part of a millenary culture.

But there is not only wine.

Cinque Terre National Park

The people of the Cinque Terre have always lived in the midst of wonderful nature, unique and wonderful views that have always been the setting and, moreover, as companions in the life of the locals and which, today, many decide to come and visit.

It is a unique, extraordinary place, a source of inspiration for some, of wonder for all, a place that deserves to be visited, to be seen at least once in a lifetime.

Whether it's to enjoy an extraordinary sunset, a sea so clear and fantastic that it deserved to become a Marine Protected Area, wonderful villages - Unesco heritage -, walks along those same streets that cross hills and coasts connecting fields and vineyards ...

Cinque Terre Blue Path

One of the most beautiful trails in the Cinque Terre is the Verde Azzurro path, a hiking itinerary departing from the historic center of Monterosso and connecting Vernazza and Corniglia.

crossing the typical Ligurian coastal landscape.

The Cinque Terre are still here, as well as its people, five countries and a people ready to welcome you and share with you the magic of a spectacle that nature has created, that man has developed and that truly of humanity. it is heritage.
